One Blocked Sink or Several Drains? What Dubai Apartment Residents Should Report
One blocked sink and several affected drains are different observations. Describe the fixtures and building access without guessing the cause.

A kitchen sink drains slowly. A bathroom floor drain may also be affected. Before booking someone to clear a blockage in your Dubai apartment, separate what you can observe from what still needs inspection. One fixture, several fixtures and a suspected shared line can require different access and different people to be involved.
Fix All Dubai's drain cleaning service covers blocked sinks, floor drains and drainage lines, subject to inspection and access. This guide helps you describe the problem; it cannot locate a blockage from symptoms alone or determine who must pay for a repair.
One slow fixture is a starting observation
Identify the affected fixture and room, when the issue began, and whether the water drains slowly or does not drain at all. A photograph taken from an accessible position and a note about previous work can help a contractor understand the enquiry. Do not dismantle pipework or enter an unsafe area to gather information.
One slow sink may prompt an inspection of that fixture and its connection, but it does not prove exactly where the obstruction sits. Ask the contractor what their initial assessment covers and what further access would be needed if the cause is elsewhere.
Several affected fixtures change the question
If more than one sink or floor drain is affected, list each one and describe what happened and when. For example, a resident might report that a kitchen sink drains slowly and a bathroom floor drain has backed up. Those observations may help determine the next inspection step, but do not diagnose a shared blockage or show its exact location.
In an apartment building, tell the building management when a common area or another unit may be involved. Ask them to identify the relevant access and approval process. Do not enter shared service areas or assume that a contractor can work on a common line without the building's permission.
Building rules depend on the property
Emaar Community Management's Dubai Creek Harbour guidance says to contact a maintenance company first and the community manager if the blockage proves to be in a common-area drain line. That is an example for that community, not a universal rule for every Dubai building or evidence of an affiliation with Fix All.
A September 2026 Dubai resident discussion illustrates that building-management coordination can be a concern, though a single discussion does not establish a local trend or legal responsibility. Check your own building arrangements and tenancy documents rather than relying on another resident's situation.
Tell the contractor about previous products or work
Let the team know about any products already used and any previous repair or attempted clearing. Keep containers or details available to share with the professional. Do not mix chemical products or attempt to expose concealed drainage to prepare for the visit.
If there is active overflow or an unsafe situation, avoid contact with contaminated water and promptly alert building management or an appropriate professional. This guide does not promise an emergency response time.
Separate inspection, clearing and additional work
Ask whether the proposed visit covers inspection, clearing the accessible blockage, or additional repair if a defect is identified. Confirm access arrangements, assessment charges and how work beyond the agreed scope would be approved. A photograph or message is not a confirmed diagnosis, fixed price or guarantee that a particular method will work.
If water is escaping from a pipe or connection rather than failing to drain, describe it through water leakage repair. For a mixed list of fixtures or repairs, compare plumbing services and the multi-job property guide.
Contact Fix All Dubai with the property location, affected fixtures, observations and any building-access requirements, or review drain cleaning before requesting an assessment.
